The vineyard revolution

This project was born in 2019 from the customer’s need to develop a machine for the French vineyard market to transform the world of wine production. Our long-standing expertise in vineyard machinery (self-propelled or towed grape harvesters, high clearance tractors) made Poclain the ideal partner for such an innovative solution in a new market.


Designed and manufactured in Japan, the machine has already been tested in the Champagne region, where our compact motors offer a clear advantage for vineyard machinery when navigating narrow rows of vines.


Combining cost savings, increased efficiency, and improved workplace safety, the YV01 might change the way vineyards operate.

Equipped with Poclain transmission to maintain vineyard soil integrity

Maintaining the integrity of the soil is essential for vineyards to retain their unique characteristics. To do this, the machine needs to be very light to ensure less soil compaction. That is why the YV01 is equipped with our MK04 motor and PM10 tandem pump, both of which are very compact. The motors are also perfectly integrated into the track, avoiding any contact between the motors and the vines, thus preserving the vineyard.

With a low center of gravity, the YV01 can climb slopes of up to 45%.  This makes it ideal for vineyards with narrow paths and smaller vines. It has a chassis clearance of 1420 mm, an overall width of 1,530mm, an overall length of 2,240mm and can operate autonomously at a maximum speed of 4 km/h. 

 

Our system is used as closed loop hydro static transmission to drive the machine and ensure the mobility of the crawler. This high-precision technology allows the machine to follow any trajectory and provides high performance in straight lines.

 

This solution is perfect for small track machines with autonomous or radio control functions. With its small displacement (7cc to 21cc), our PM10 pump is compatible with electronic control: an essential feature for autonomous or remote-controlled machines.
