Innovation and cooperation are two of main key points at Poclain, and these are reasons for this success story. We are talking about a vineyard-spraying robot, an autonomous spraying robot set to transform the world of wine production. This project was born out of the customer need to develop a machine for a vineyard final customer based in Europe, to transform the world of wine production. At the same time the customer needed to keep in mind soil integrity to maintain its unique characteristics. Beyond good performance, the machine needed to be very light, compact and versatile.

Versatility is essential in this sprayer because it needs to work on terrains with varying degrees of slopes. On the other side, it must be precise to work in a small vineyard.

The machine is composed of a PM10 tandem control P and two MK04 motors by Poclain. Both products are very compact.

Using a P control on PM10 is a good option for autonomous operation. Electrical control is manageable directly from the dashboard. With this type of control, the swashplate is proportional to an electrical input signal. Special pump valve plate timing made the difference allowing the machine to have excellent performance in all working conditions.

This is a great success story was born out of the collaboration from the Poclain sales department, R&D department and our customer.
